My journal - Traveling Through The Backroads of my Mind - is a compliment to my website where I write online histories related to ghosttowns and mining camps and the backcountry of California. The journal is place where I can write in a looser format than the website - I can just "practice" writing, keep track of my feelings, quotes, meditations, and other bits of pieces, either mine, or other writers, that I find beneficial in my growth process, both as a person and as a writer, and a historian. It's also an an inside look at the mind of a housewife who just happens to takes people on backcountry tours ten times out of the year and has such a passion for writing about it she has to share it with others. through her writings. I just started the journal in January on a whim, and didn't really have any idea where it was going, the ideas I ponder over are becoming the catylyst for the more professional writing that I do. And I welcome comments on what I have put in the journal, and suggestions for new ideas.
